Yet another beautiful and stylish shop in the Green House franchise, GH United is one of the newer high-quality shops in the Haarlemmerstraat, ‘the Hollywood Boulevard of Coffeeshops’ in Amsterdam.

Over the last few years, the ‘Haarlemmerstraat’ has become synonymous with high quality, upscale coffeeshops in Amsterdam. So, it will come as no surprise that the Green House Coffeeshop franchise opened one of their latest shops in the same street as other legendary shops like ‘Barney’s’ and ‘ The Dampkring’.

As expected, the interior of Green House United, like every other Green House shop, breaths quality and style. The first thing you’ll notice is the openness of the place. No doorway entry or cramped hallway to push through, just one open facade. Directly to the left, you’ll find the counter where one can order a wide selection of weed and hash, as well as the seeds of most strains you’ll find on the menu. Continuing on through the shop you’ll undoubtedly be staring at the glass covered floor aquarium filled with Koi fish and the numerous autographed pictures of celebrities that have visited this and other GH shops on the left wall.

You can choose to take a seat on both sides of the aquarium, which is also close to the bar where you can order full breakfast, lunch and dinner or you can go up the small staircase and chill out on the second floor of the shop, which breaks with the decor of the ground floor of the shop. Contrary to the hip and contemporary style of the first part of the shop, the second floor has an authentic ‘Old Dutch living room’ atmosphere, reminiscent of one of those old 19th century Dutch Pancake houses you have no doubt visited on your stay in Amsterdam.
