Blueberry Headband Genetics
Blueberry Headband used to be a relatively straightforward cross between Blueberry and F3 Emerald. This was until Humboldt Seed Corp. and Emerald Triangle Seeds joined forces to tinker with the strain’s genetics. This successful collaboration resulted in the elevation of Blueberry Headband’s status from an F3 strain to an F6 status, by mixing a ‘76 Blueberry, Emerald OG Kush, Cali Sour D, and Pre-98 Bubba Kush into a 60/40 indica-sativa hybrid.
Blueberry Headband Effects
The original Headband phenotypes express a tendency to produce the sensation you’re wearing a tight headband around your head. Luckily, this is not the case with this hybrid. Instead, you get a mellow mix of uplifting, cerebral head-high and a relaxing body-oriented buzz that is neither trippy nor lethargic.
Blueberry Headband Terpene Profile
The fragrance of Blueberry Headband does its name justice; the true blue aroma of blueberries is strong and immediately noticeable. These fruity notes are carried by an earthy, slightly sour and skunky undertone. On the exhale, this fruity aroma is translated into an equally fruity flavor that supports the light but distinct pinewood notes.
Medical Benefits Blueberry Headband
Ongoing research has suggested that high THC and low CBD strains may have potential benefits including reducing fatigue and relieving symptoms of Glaucoma. Although thought to be more effective when working together with CBD, THC is also understood to have some pain-relieving properties on its own. Considering this, this high THC strain may also provide some relief from general aches and pains.
How to Grow Blueberry Headband
The improved genetic makeup of Blueberry Headband ensures a greater yield and faster growth rate than its predecessor. The strain now flowers in about eight weeks and is equally suited for indoors as well as outdoors.
