As a crossbreed of Cali Orange Bud and an Afghani Indica, this California Indica hybrid brings some weight to the ever popular OB phenotype. The unique mix also brings about some interesting grow characteristics.
Heritage & Genetics: Sensi Seeds made an interesting choice when they decided to mix the already indica dominant genetics of California Orange Bud with an Afghani Indica. The result is a 35% sativa and a 65% indica that alters the entire identity of the plant, both in flavor, effect and cultivation characteristics.
Flavor & Aroma: Flavor-wise California Indica truly brings out the best of both genetic traits. The Orange Bud genetics give the flowers a lovely sweet, fruity orange flavor that, combined with the hash-like aroma of the Afghani create a dark, bitter-sweet palette you will rarely find in other strains.
Effect: The indica influence on California Indica leads in the effects, which will be felt predominantly in the body. And yet, the sativa component prevents the brain from completely fogging-up and leaving you ‘couch-locked’, resulting in a pleasant body-stoned feeling but with a certain “brightness” that will allow you to still be sociable.
Medical: Ongoing research has suggested that high THC and low CBD strains may have potential benefits including relieving symptoms of Glaucoma. Although thought to be more effective when working together with CBD, THC is also understood to have some pain-relieving properties on its own. Considering this, this high THC strain may also provide some relief from general aches and pains.
Grow characteristics: California Indica tends to grow faster than its California Orange Bud predecessor. The plant is less tall than its OB mother, but the indica dominant genetics do give a massive increase in crop yield. It is advised to grow California Indica indoors for the best result, but even without additional care, this strain will yield a large amount of thick, resinous buds.
