Four-Way was bred to create a stable, multiple-hybrid platform in order to develop new cannabis strains. A breeders template, if you will, so start experimenting with cross-breeding yourself!
Heritage: Four-Way was created in the 1980’s as a stepping stone for further cross-breeding with stable genetics and the best traits such as its large amounts of trichomes, massive and dense buds, fast and resilient growing characteristics, and great flavor and effects. Combining three Middle Eastern landrace strains (Afghani, Indian, and Pakistani) and the classic Skunk #1, Sensi Seed created a template that would be the starting point of numerous new and exciting hybrid strains.
Flavor: One of Four-Way’s unique traits is the almost overpowering earthy, spicy hash-like aroma, combined with pepper, and the strong, sweet smell of Skunk #1.
Effect: Skunk #1 gives Four-Way its fast acting and potent kick, while the three landrace indicas produce a warm body buzz and the sensation of being wrapped in a heavy blanket, relaxing your body and quieting your mind.
Medical: Ongoing research has found that in higher doses THC may help with Glaucoma, by reducing pressure in the eye. THC and CBD have also been found to have pain-relieving qualities that are thought to amplify when the cannabinoids work together. Meanwhile, CBD is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Considering this, this high THC, moderate CBD strain may be somewhat useful for relieving pain and inflammation often experienced with joint pain, arthritis, headaches and migraines.
Grow characteristics: Four-Way has all the best traits you would want as a grower. The strain grows quickly, is very resilient, adapts well to any cultivation method or plant training and produces large quantities of sticky, dense buds. All in all Four-Way is an excellent strain for beginners. However, to make the best of its original purpose, as a template for crossbreeding, you have to know what you’re doing. This gives credence to the saying: “Easy to learn, hard to master”.
